Abstract: Precipitation observation is an important part of prototype soil erosion prototype observation and soil and water conservation monitoring. In 1984, with the approval of the Yellow River conservancy commission , the Tianshui soil and water conservation science experimental station has set up 26 observation stations in Luoyugou watershed. Luoyugou basin, the third sub-district of the hilly and gully region of the Yellow River, and started precipitation observation in 1985. By the end of 2018, a total of 726 stations of precipitation observation data had been observed. This data set was from 1985 to 2018, including daily precipitation scale, precipitation extract table, maximum precipitation scale of each period, daily flood precipitation table, which can be used as the basic data to explore and study the law of soil erosion in the third sub-region of the hilly area of the loess plateau.
