Abstract: Meteorological and hydrological data provide the foundation for meteorological and hydrological prediction, scientific research, development and utilization, and engineering construction. These data are the driving force for the development of meteorological and hydrological science. The geographical location and strategic position of China Taiwan and its surrounding islands are very important. They have unique climatic and hydrological environments and changes. However, their meteorological and hydrological observational data are scarce in mainland China. The meteorological and hydrological public service data published on the official website of Taiwan Meteorological Administration have been downloaded automatically and regularly, processed and stored in a standardized format to make a standardized meteorological and hydrological observational dataset of China Taiwan and its surrounding islands, with a total size of 2.0 MB, including the daily average data of 8 meteorological and hydrological elements such as temperature, wind and effective wave height of 16 ocean environment observation buoys such as Jinmen buoy and Mazu buoy, with a time range of 2015–2019, a total of 16 data tables, and a size of 1.5 MB; the monthly average precipitation data of 26 meteorological observation stations such as Taipei and hsinchu, with a time range of 2010–2018, a total of 26 data tables and a size of 500 KB. It provides data support for meteorological and hydrological research in China Taiwan and its surrounding islands.
