Professor-level Senior Engineer
LI Jianhui holds a doctoral degree, and is Professor-level Senior Engineer and PhD Supervisor at the Computer Network Information Center, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He also serves as Executive Member at CODATA, Secretary General of CODATA-China, and Director of Beijing Engineering Laboratory for Big Data Application Service Technologies.
Prof. LI has been long dedicated to promoting data openness, sharing and application. His major tasks include: to construct the CAS Data Cloud Service System, to develop cloud service platforms, and to innovate data-intensive scientific applications. He is currently engaged in technologies concerning big data sharing, curation, computing and analysis. He has chaired projects like “Demonstration of Big Data Service Platform for Fundamental Research” – a hi-tech industrialization special project of the National Development and Reform Commission, “Data Resource Center and Its Key Technologies” Project of the “‘Sensing China’-oriented Next-generation Information Technologies” Program – a CAS S&T strategic priority research program, and “S&T Data Resource Integration and Sharing” Project of the CAS 12th Five-Year Informatization Special Program. Prof. LI has published over 80 scholarly articles, among which over 60 are SCI/EI-indexed. He has also formulated five national standards and requested over 20 national invention patents (8 have been granted).
Prof. LI’s major awards include: first prize in the 2008 National S&T Awards for Environmental Protection; second prize in the 2011 National S&T Progress Awards, second prize in the 2011 Excellent Individual Awards for CAS Academy-Region Collaboration, and the 2012 Industry-University-Research Innovation Award of China.
