HUANG Gang holds a doctoral degree, and is the first-batch distinguished researcher of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He is a tenure-track professor at the University of CAS (UCAS), invited professor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, adjunct professor of Nanjing University of Information Sciences & Technology (NUIST), Doctoral Tutor of UCAS and NUIST, winner of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. I was student of Academician T.-C. Yeh, and obtained my doctorate in September 1999. I now undertake many National Natural Science Funds projects and I am the chief of many national projects, such as National Basic Research Program of China. I am a committee member of Chinese Meteorological Society and CNC-WCRP. I sit on the editorial board of Chinese Journal of Atmospheric Sciences, Acta Meteorological Sinica and Climatic and Environmental Research and also edit two English academic journals; review of 21 SCI journals (including. Nature Communication and Journal of Climate). I was rewarded “Xuedufengzheng” Best Doctoral Thesis and Research Paper, “Tu Changwang” Science & Technology Award for Chinese Youth, Chinese Excellent Meteorology S&T worker, “Zhuliyuehua” Excellent Teacher, Excellent Tutor of UCAS (2012&2013), “Zhao Jiuzhang” Excellent Young and Mid-Career Scientist and “Lu Jiaxi” Excellent Supervisor, etc. My Ph.D. graduates were rewarded 100 Best Doctoral Thesis of UCAS (2012&2013) and Youth Scientific and Technological Award of CSTP. Up to January 2016, I published 120 scientific articles (62 SCI papers, 46 CSCD papers and 12 book chapters), including one published in Nature Climate Change and one in Nature Geosciences. The number of first-authored & corresponding authored papers is 60 (36 SCI papers, 19 CSCD papers and 5 book chapters). The number of my citations in Google Scholar is 2842, 2177 over the past 5 years, with the H-index being 24.
