OUYANG Zhiyun, Ph.D, professor, is Deputy Director of the Research Center for Eco-environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences; and vice president of Ecological Society of China, and vice president of China Ecological Economic Society.
Prof. Ouyang’s area of expertise includes ecosystem services, ecosystem assessment and management, urban ecology and biodiversity conservation. He has been recently engaged in projects concerning national ecosystem investigation and assessment, gross ecosystem product accounting, Beijing urban ecosystem pattern and its changes, urban green development, restoration and reconstruction of degraded and fragile ecosystems, biodiversity pattern and protection in the Yangtze River basin, etc. Prof. Ouyang has published over 400 peer-view articles, among which over 140 in international journals. In addition, he has published 10 books. Prof. Ouyang won three Second Prizes of National S&T Progress, and seven Prizes of Provincial S&T Progress; the winner of the fourth Youth S&T Award.
