Abstract & Keywords
Abstract: The evergreen broad-leaved forest is the most stable top succession community in the subtropical area. Based on long-term litter observation at the comprehensive observation field by Huitong National Forest Ecosystem Research Station, Hunan (Huitong Station), the dataset collects monthly litter recovery amount and monthly litter standing crop of the middle subtropical broad-leaved evergreen forests in Huitong Station during the period of 2005–2015, which both comprise branch, leaf, flower and fruit, bark, moss and lichen and others. The creation and sharing of the dataset provide data support for litter dynamic study on the forest of this type amid global climate change, and help us further understand the structure and function of the evergreen broad-leaved forest ecosystem in the middle subtropical region. Additionally, it can also promote the long-term ecological study of the evergreen broad-leaved forest in the middle subtropical region.
