Abstract & Keywords
Abstract: Meteorological data are the basic data for the research of climate change, providing theoretical support for global climate change and extreme weather events. Alpine Ecosystem Observation and Experiment Station of Gongga Mountain, Chinese Academic of Sciences, is one of the observation stations of Chinese Ecosystem Research Network (CERN) and National Ecosystem Research Network of China (CNERN). Mt. Gongga is located in southeast edge of Tibetan Plateau, and a sensitive area to global warming. Mt. Gongga is typical and representative alpine ecosystem. According to the protocols for standard meteorological observation and measurement of CERN, the station has been carrying out long-term meteorological monitoring. In this dataset, we report the 19 meteorological elements (including 120 indicators, total 301 KB) collected from the automatic meteorological system after data processing and quality control and assessment during 1998–2018. Our aims were to provide background data for the study of how the alpine ecosystems response to global change.

The dataset was derived from 1600 m (29º38'59"N, 102º06'55"E) and 3000 m (29º34'34"N, 101º59'54"E) meteorological station.
